Y2 Science: Testing simple questions
In our materials unit this term, Year 2 have been learning how everyday materials are used because of their own unique properties. This lesson we asked which material would be best for fixing a hole in our bucket. They children predicted that the material would need to be waterproof and not have any visible air holes when held up to the light. After designing a simple experiment to test and compare all the materials they children concluded that foil was best because it was flexible and waterproof.
As you can see from the photos they collaborated very well, measured carefully and organised themselves so everyone got to play an important role in the practical work.
