Term six got off to an amazing start for our new career based topic 'Brighter Futures'. We invited professionals from a whole host of careers including; Printing, Law, Civil Service, Medicine, Police Force, Hospitality and the Construction Industry. Pupils from across Years 4-6 were invited to a special assembly where the were challenge to guess the career of each mystery guest. They were able to ask a series of questions in order to identify the occupation of each guest. Our guests could only respond with Yes/No/ not sure depending on the question asked. After the first round of questions the children made their guesses. During the second round our guests brought in a prop linked to their career-at this stage pupils were invited to change their minds if they wished. Finally, during round 3, our guests revealed their occupation and discussed how skills developed at school were still applicable to their everyday roles. A special thank you must go out to all our guests, staff and Mr Goldsmith who hosted the whole event with great zeal and charm.
