Christ Church's heroic Year 4 tennis team (Sophie, Neythraa, Owen and Thomas) claimed top-spot in a recent district tournament. Held at Hythe Tennis Club, the children played against opposition from a range of schools including; Hythe Bay, St Augustine, St Eanswythe and Churchill to name a few. After topping their pool in the early heats they made it through to the semi-finals against St Augustine and then to a tightly contested final against St Eanswythe. Best of all was the camaraderie and encouragement they showed to each other throughout the competition. For most of the children taking part, this was the first time they had played a final or won a medal. The delight was etched on their faces when they were presented with their winners medals and they were ably cheered on by their proud parents.
