Stone Age trips for your weekends.
Our topic this term is Yabadabado and we are reading the "Stone Age Boy" in Literacy. During Topic, our focus is the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. In Science we will be learning about rocks and soils. You may want to take a trip to the Warren where you can explore and hunt for fossils in sedimentary rocks and examine the different rock and soil types. It would be a great opportunity to imagine what life would have been like during these times. Additionally, you may like to take a trip to the Folkestone Museum, where they hold artefacts that were discovered at the East Wear Bay Iron Age settlement.
A question to ponder: How do archaeologist believe Folkestone got it's name?
