Poetry week poems by Sea Lions- What is Blue? What is Red?

The children set off into groups to create and perform poems based on the colour red or blue. They then rehearsed their poem and performed to the other group including actions and gestures. 

What is Red?...

Red is a ruby red fire engine

screaming to an emergency

Red is a vermilion car

racing around the track

Red is a crimson cherry

sweet and sour

Red is a bright red ladybird

spotty and small

What is blue?

Blue is a sky blue dress

sparkly and flowing

Blue is a fast car 

revving and screeching

Blue is a blueberry

juice and delicious

Blue is a drop of water

wet and cold.
