Inside the Snake

Inside the snake’s smooth scales, the tangled jungle vines.

Inside the tangled jungle vines, the snake’s forked tongue.

Inside the snake’s forked tongue, the lonely desert.

Inside the lonely desert, the snakes venomous bite.

Inside the snake’s venomous bite, the steaming rainforest.

Inside the steaming rainforest, the snake’s staring emerald eyes.

Inside the snake’s staring emerald eyes, the frightened prey.

Inside the frightened prey, the snake’s pattern signalling danger.

Inside the snake’s pattern signalling danger, the shifting sand dunes.

Inside the shifting sand dunes, the snake’s smooth scales.
