Mnemonic spelling posters

To help us with our tricky 'red' words Sea lions decided to create posters with useful phrases and silly sayings that helped us to remember the spelling. We learnt that this way of remembering things is called a mnemonic. Have a look at some of our posters for tricky words: said, was, they, because and friend. 

Phrases included:

Said (Silly ants in dresses) 

was (worms are slimy)   

friend (fri the end of a friend)

because (big elephants cause accidents under small elephants)
