Maths- Subtraction

This term our key maths focus is subtraction. We have been using objects for children to count out then subtract from using simple subtraction sentences such as 20 -7 etc... You could support your child by using objects around the house to count out then take away a given amount from that pile. Buttons, pegs, coins, toys, dolls, spoons or any such items can be used.

They have also been using a number line to subtract numbers and to count backwards.
