Marvellous Maths

Throughout term two we have been exploring many areas of mathematics. We have learnt about 2D and 3D shapes, their names, properties and where we can find them in the world around us. We have learnt to calculate the perimeter of a 2D shape. Outside in the playground we have used ourselves, bean bags and cones to calculate the difference between two numbers. We have used balancing scales to measure the weight of objects found around the classroom and discussed terms such as lighter and heavier. We also continue to learn songs to help us remember the days of the week and the months of the year. Please follow these links below to help your child learn them at home.
