Doing their bit to save the planet has won a school two top eco awards.
Christ Church Primary in Folkestone has become one of only 47 schools in Kent to be awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag. The school has also got a Red Flag under the Clean Kent programme. The two awards are the top ones which can be earnt within the two schemes.
Christ Church has a group of pupils called Planet Pirates who promote recycling. The school also has it's own chickens from which it collects eggs and grows it's own vegetables.
The flags were presented by Cllr John Davies, chairman of Kent County Council - who was presented with a box of eggs from the Christ Church chickens.
