How waterproof is your coat?
11th Oct 2016
Year 2 have been finding out all about materials this term. We were wondering how people kept dry during the Great Fire of London while buckets of water were being thrown on the fire so we decided to carry out an experiment to find out how waterproof different materials were. We have also found out about some famous scientists; Charles Macintosh (1766) was the man who famously invented waterproof material and the 'Macintosh' which we all use today to keep ourselves dry in the great British weather!
