This week our children in Year 4 were tasked with measuring the circumference of various cylinders. They learnt various new terms such as cord, diameter and circumference and why these measures are important e.g. for measuring hat sizes. Once the children practised on the cylinders they then measured each others' head to see who had the largest circumference-and therefore the biggest brain!.
