Christ Church Art Club this week’s the theme - The Weather.
This week’s theme for Christ Church Art club is the weather. Artists have always enjoyed looking at the affects the weather has on the landscape; here we have Constable enjoying painting clouds scudding across the sky, and strong winds battering a small house in Charles Burchfield’s ‘East Wind’. We can feel the intense heat in Georgia O’Keefe’s sun, and JMW Turner depicts a dramatic storm at sea.
Look outside and draw or paint the clouds, or show me a rainy day with puddles to splash in. You could look at how the trees move and sway in the wind. It’s up to you, and I look forward to receiving your lovely creations by Friday for the next instalment of our Christ Church Gallery.
