Animations-Victorian Style
Class 5J have thoroughly enjoyed researching, reviewing and making Victorian toys. One such favourite has been the thaumatrope-which is a two sided disc that features an image on either side. When these discs are spun or twirled on a piece of string the images appear to blend together, a famous example is a bird and a cage. If you fancy having a go at making one yourself please visit the link below (please be aware that Christ Church Academy doesn't accept responsibility for the content of 3rd party websites.) http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=9&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwiZsuLm0M_NAhVEAsAKHXHnCsIQFghFMAg&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nrm.org.uk%2F~%2Fmedia%2FFiles%2FNRM%2FPDF%2Flearning%2Fthaumatrope-low.pdf&usg=AFQjCNFmiVAQzwXxoxuyWPhCcds5-KW-Aw&bvm=bv.126130881,d.ZGg
