3LL Reading

To encourage the children to read at home we have started a reward system.  Each time we can see that a child has been heard at home (a signed entry in their yellow reading record) their name will be put into a raffle and at the end of each week one name will be pulled out of the Reading Hat and that child will get a prize.  The more times the children read, the more chances they have to win a prize.    the school expectation is 10-15 mins a night.   Have a look at this article  to give you ideas about Reading at home.  http://www.topmarks.co.uk/Parents/ten-tips-on-hearing-your-child-read.
