3L Were learning about the events during Holy Week and how Mary might have felt during that week.

What happened 

Mary’s feelings 

Palm Sunday 

Jesus came into Jerusalem 

Rode on a donkey 

Waved palms leaves and put them on the road 

People were cheering him 

Riding the donkey might remind Mary of Jesus’ birth 

As He is a King He should be riding on something better  

Felt proud and happy  

Last Supper  

Jesus broke bread and said it was his broken body 

Shared wine with his disciples to signify his blood 

A woman anointed Jesus because she believed he was the King of Heaven and she was getting him ready for his death. 

One of the disciples (Judas) betrayed him 

Jesus said his disciples would run away and leave him  

Confused and puzzled  

Nervous and anxious  

Good Friday  

Died on the cross- crucified  

Put in a tomb 

Sad and  worried  

Angry with the Romans and the Jewish leaders  

Easter  

Resurrected went to heaven  

Mary went to look for his body  

Instead she saw 2 angels  

Very puzzled and shocked  

Thought someone had stolen his body 

Scared when she saw the angels but it helped her remember God’s will.
