1A - science - weather and seasons

In science this term we're keeping a record of the weather, thinking about the weather in the different seasons - particularly winter - and noticing how it is changing.  Last Friday we noticed that the temperature was warmer than the week before and wondered why that was.  Looking at the previous week we could see that it was quite cloudy outside but on Friday it was very sunny.  We also made some rain guages so that we could record the amount of rainfall.  In the pictures you can see one of the children holding a special piece of equipment that measures the windspeed.  Ask your child if they can tell you what it's called!  I hope they will remember the name.
