Today, in writing, we used our 'philosophy for children' caring skills to think about the question
Do you think Goldilocks and the bears could be friends?
First thoughts:
Aphra: if they meet more times they could get friendly.
Maryam: when the bears went upstairs they could say ‘hi, you can sleep in our bed’ they wouldn’t eat Goldilocks, they wouldn’t be angry.
Jaxon: they wouldn’t be angry, they would be nice, they would say that Goldilocks needed an invitation next time.
Phoenix:yes, baby bear could play with Goldilocks at the park.
Freya: if they meet again they might get used to each other and be friends.
Noah: Goldilocks could knock on their door and then if they were there she could go in.
Charlie: no because Goldilocks isn’t a bear, she’s human.
Darcie: maybe – Goldilocks has broken stuff and the bears said you have to fix everything and then we can be friends.
Digging deeper - questions:
Freya: why did the bears have three different chairs?
Callum: why were the bears not friends to her?
Rebeka: why did Goldilocks eat the porridge in someone else’s house?
Edie: did Goldilocks know she was going to break the chair?
Maryam and Aphra: Why did Goldilocks go in when the bears weren’t there?
Delilah: why did the bears chase her out of the house?
Phoenix: why did Goldilocks sleep on someone else’s bed?
Evie: did Goldilocks know that the bears lived in the cottage?
Charlie: why are you and Goldilocks not friends?
