Frequently asked Q&A
How can my child attend a club?
In School terms 1, 3 and 5 an online form is sent out with a list of all the available clubs. Please select which club(s) you would like your child to attend. It is not guaranteed and Clubs are not first-come-first-served.
What happens next?
After School Activities are very popular and there is a limited number of spaces to each club. You will be notified via Dojo/Arbor if your child has been successful. If they haven't, they will be placed on the waiting list.
What happens if my child does not get into any club?
We do our best to ensure each child who applies for a club is offered a place at a club. If your child is unfortunate and does not receive any correspondence from Club Leaders they have applied for please do not be too disheartened. They will be placed on a waiting list and offered a club as soon as a place is available.
Alternatively, if you require After-School Care, please book your child into our wraparound care 'Kids' Club' - further information can be obtained from the School Office.
When do the Clubs start?
On your child’s letter there will be a start and finish date. But usually the second full week into a new term and they finish the penultimate week of the seasonal term e.g. Christmas, Easter and Summer.
Where will my child go for their club?
Key Stage 1 children are collected by their Club Leader from their classroom.
Key Stage 2 go straight to their Club Leaders allocated room.
When and where do I collect my child?
Clubs finish at 4pm.
Please collect your child from the Key Stage 1 Gates.
Can anyone collect my child?
If your child is going to be collected by someone else please inform the School Office so they can make the Club Leader aware. Make sure it is a person known to your child and they are aware of the new arrangement.
Children who attend Kids' Club will be escorted there.
You will need to make your own arrangements with all other After School Clubs unrelated to the school.
Can my child walk home by him/herself?
Only Year 5 & 6 children may walk home with their parents’ written permission. Please indicate permission for this on the online form.
