This week, Class 3AJ took a trip out to the Warren. The children explored this unique environment and were able to link their learning of plants and nutrition to what they could see at the site. The children were amazed at the variety and abundance of plant life that lives in this habitat. They collected some leaves and berries to take back to class and create a still life drawing of their finds. To commemorate the Folkestone Triennial the children collaborated to create sculptures using only natural materials found at the site. They created a sea serpent, Farmer Boggis (from Fantastic Mr Fox) and many other wonder creations besides. Take a look at the gallery to find out more.
