Chapter 9

What does Zoe say about her fate?

Zoe said her fate was a matter of chance because the Cat army will attack and they could kill Zoe also she doesn’t have the power to influence it [she is running out of luck and time].

Why are they no longer taking any notice of Zoe?

It suggests that the cat spy is the newcomer because he is leaking information to the Eels.

How does Zoe know which way to go?

The reason is because the map shows the way to go and she knows where she is in the world.

What does the rat tell you about the character of Munchkin?

A kind caring inside but a tough outside we know this because he is sparing food to his pet rat on whatever he can find.

+ I like Liam's work because it is a nice description of what we are learning.

+ We like your response to the second question - great ideas.

- Punctuation please and edit the third question.

How does Zoe know which way to go?

To go were the dust is less thick because all of the dust would stick to Munchkin and there would be less in that area.

What does the rat tell you about the character of Munchkin?

Munchkin has kind side to his character. He likes animals. He is lonely and needs company.

How does Zoe feel towards Munchkin now?

She sees Munchkin as a kind character, he is gentler than before. Not many people see him like that.

What is the map of?

The map is of Eels Island; this map belongs to Munchkin’s mum. The map shows of what it looked like before the floods.

Another excellent piece of writing Abbie. I am looking forward to reading your poem.

What does the rat tell you about the character of Munchkin?

Munchkin is a compassionate person who cares about animals and even gives them snippets of his food to keep them alive. On the outside you think he is a cold-hearted man with no sole at all but on the inside he is a considerate man who wants the best for everybody.

How does Zoe feel towards Munchkin now?

She feels he is just a man who came here trying to get food and ended up being turned into a monster. Really, he just acted, he wouldn’t be as selfish and mean as Dooby is.
